Our inner state now, in the presents, determines what we can reach tomorrow, in the future. If we are in a positive inned state, we are optimistic and open to the new experience, then our steps will be aimed at achieving results, solving problems effectively. If we are in a negative inner state, if we are tense and pessimistic, then our steps will be aimed at the problems, focusing on them, creating new problems.
When saying inner state I mean the psychological and emotional experience of a person at the moment. It significantly influences our choice of behavior and responses. The inner state seems to be a filter through which our perception, abilities, memories and beliefs are passed.
For example, when we are in a tense, anxious and frustrated state, we perceive the world and the environment as a dangerous, stressful, problematic place, where the future is uncertain and our steps can not change anything.
And when we are calm, relaxed, confident and optimistic, the world and the environment are full of opportunities for us, calm and peaceful, the future is clear, and our steps are aimed at achieving our own goals.
At this moment, try to tense the body, abdomen and shoulders, lower the head into the shoulders. How do you feel? Remember when else you felt that way in your life, in what situations. What did you think? What is your focus on now? What do you think about the future?
Then return to your normal body position. Take a comfortable position, take a deep breath and relax, imagine yourself in harmony. How do you feel? Remember when else you felt that way in your life, in what situations. What did you think? What is your focus on now? What do you think about the future?
